everything cookies
I’ve been trying to eat better. I’ve been trying to avoid the sweets. But I can’t help it.
They seduce me!
A couple of days ago I got a hankerin' for some cookies. Good ol' fashioned chocolate chip cookies.
And then I came across all kinds of goodies in my pantry and scratched the "good ol' chocolate chip cookies" idea.
Everything cookies, I like to call these.
Follow this fantastic recipe and add white chocolate chips, chopped semi sweet chocolate, peanut butter chips, almonds, and granola.
Dee-licious!
With cookies like these how can I keep up on a diet??

the birthday suit
Every year I treat myself to a birthday dress. That may sound excessive, but I assure you it's not. Sometimes I find gems in the prom dress clearance rack. Other times I search the back of my closet for never-worn pieces. One time I bought a dress for what I hoped would be a Christmas party dress. It became a birthday dress, instead. And it only cost me $13. Thirteen dollars!
You can't beat that with a stick.
This year was a combination of a new dress I bought at Macy's and one that I bought a year ago and never wore.
The week was kind of a mess (mostly involving a disastrous road trip), but at least I had a great wardrobe.
And some equally great shoes.

shopaholic
It has been a while since I've posted. I've been busy with work and other life-related things.
And I've been shopping. A good bit.
So I will share some recent buys that I am totally loving right now.
As for the basic white tank, I had to snag one. I'm always so busy buying colorful tops and tanks assuming that I must have a basic white tank somewhere so there's no need to buy one. Much to my surprise I didn't really own a basic white tank.
Well now I do.
I have been wanting a structured blazer for quite sometime now, but with this unbearable South Florida heat I figured it would be pointless.
And then I found this baby at Forever 21. It's beautiful AND light enough to wear out on a nice summer night. Love. And the back detail is great, too.
Who doesn't love a good beach tote?? I've been looking for one of these, too. I wanted something basic, simple, small, efficient. $2.50 for this lovely little tote at Target. $2.50! Go buy yourself one! Or three!
Happy shopping!
